Bags with synthetic and opium-type drugs were found in a taxi in which citizens of Kyrgyzstan arrived in Lipetsk city. The local media reported with reference to the Information and Public Relations Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The detained man is 32 years old, his companion is 38 years old.
A total of 99 so-called «charges» with a total weight of more than 200 grams were seized. They were hidden under the car mat on the passenger seat, some were in the pockets.
«The offenders planned to distribute the prohibited substances using stashes in the region. The drug dealers face a trial and a harsh sentence — according to Russian laws, drug distribution on an especially large scale is punishable with up to 20 years in prison,» the statement says.
By decision of the district court, the Kyrgyzstanis were placed in a pre-trial detention center.
