Citizens of Central Asian countries will be able to open accounts in Russian banks under a simplified procedure. The Russian government allowed foreigners from 25 friendly states to open accounts and deposits in Russian banks in a simplified manner. The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Government of Russia Mikhail Mishustin.
People wishing to open an account or deposit in a Russian bank will have to submit a package of documents to the credit organization, which is located in their country, even before entering the Russian Federation. Upon arrival, they will be able to make payments in Russian banks, Mikhail Mishustin said.
The mechanism will be convenient for tourists and entrepreneurs coming to Russia and will help improve interaction between business communities of partner countries.
The list of 25 countries includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Brazil, India, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Armenia, Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mongolia, UAE, Oman, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
