President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded with the highest award of the CIS — a Badge of Honor. The ceremony took place today following the meeting of the Heads of State of the Commonwealth in an expanded format.
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov noted that the issue was initiated by the Kyrgyz side. The head of Uzbekistan was awarded for his contribution to the development of the CIS, strengthening friendship, good neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation between the states of the association.
«Thanks to the political will of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it was possible to resolve the issue of delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border. Under his leadership, Uzbekistan’s new foreign policy strategy is being successfully implemented. Largely thanks to the personal efforts of Shavkat Miromonovich, a new atmosphere of trust has been created in the CIS, a favorable environment is being formed that promotes the growth of mutual trade and investment,» Sadyr Japarov said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev thanked his colleagues for their attention and promised to justify their trust. He also noted the role of the head of Kyrgyzstan in resolving many issues.
