«I would like to note that your visit has a great symbolic meaning, since it coincided with the 20th anniversary of the Kant airbase and the 30th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. These significant events in our bilateral relations are symbols of our friendship,» the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said, addressing the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He noted that Kyrgyzstan highly values the Kyrgyz-Russian strategic partnership and allied relations, and recalled that on September 1, the presidents of the two countries gave the start to the construction of the first three schools with Russian language of instruction in Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek, Karakol, Batken).
«I am sure that in the future, graduates of these schools will make a great contribution to the deepening of Kyrgyz-Russian relations. In this regard, the active dynamics of contacts and exchanges between departments and regions of our countries, as well as through «public diplomacy,» deserves attention. Among them I would like to especially mention «Train of Memory», «Scarlet Sails», shows of masters and young talents of Kyrgyz ballet art in the cities of Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Kazan. In the near future, 15 students will visit Russia as part of «Interdom for the Children of Kyrgyzstan» project. We also highly appreciate the visits to Bishkek by the leadership of the Russian government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Russian National Guard and other delegations,» Sadyr Japarov said.
«It is gratifying that the solid foundation on which we are building our joint future is the historical ties of friendship between the two countries. There is a strong foundation and broad prospects for strengthening the alliance and strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia,» he concluded.
