MP proposes to pay allowances of 5,000 soms to families in highlands

Deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Kamila Talieva proposes to pay families living in the highlands, border areas with special status, having children up to three years old, not less than 5,000 soms per month. The corresponding bill is posted on the website of Parliament.

The deputy proposes to amend the law on state allowances in the Kyrgyz Republic.

As the background statement says, if the document is adopted, the allowance will be paid regardless of the social and economic situation of the family.

Living conditions in the highlands are unfavorable, which affects agriculture. This lowers the economic income of traditional highland villages, which eventually leads to an increase in poverty level.

Kamila Talieva is sure that monthly allowances are a mechanism aimed at solving urgent problems, the payments will slightly improve the living standards of families living in the highlands.
