Mobile clinic left for border districts of Batken region. The press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, until October 12, a multidisciplinary team of doctors consisting of an oncologist-mammologist, a gynecologist, a therapist and an ultrasound specialist will provide free consultations and examinations of women and teenage girls in Leilek district. From October 13 to October 21, the mobile clinic will visit remote villages of Batken district.
«At the beginning of the year, the Kyrgyz Family Planning Alliance, with technical support from the UK government and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), together with state and national partners, organized clinic’s visits to provide maternal and reproductive health services for women and adolescent girls. The work of the mobile clinic is organized within the framework of the project «Comprehensive support for women and girls in Batken». From February to March, the mobile clinic visited villages in Batken region. For 17 days, the team of doctors provided free consultations and examined more than 2,800 women and teenage girls. Based on the results of the work, residents of border villages asked to organize similar visits of specialists to remote villages of the region on a regular basis,» the ministry noted.
The mobile clinic will visit eight border villages in Leilek and Batken districts of Batken region for more than two weeks. Doctors will stay in each village for several days for better and more efficient work.
If diseases that require additional medical examination or consultation with specialists are detected, doctors will provide recommendations to specialized medical institutions. Also, the results of the work of the mobile clinic will be sent to the heads of local healthcare organizations for further monitoring and management of patients.
