The national sambo team of Kyrgyzstan won 13 medals at the World Championship after two days of competitions. The press service of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports reported.
Winners and medalists in 10 weight categories were determined. Bekbolot Toktogonov, who competed in the 98-kilogram category, won a gold medal, while Miraida Medetbek kyzy won a silver medal in the 65-kilogram weight category among women.
Kairat Zhusup uulu (58 kilograms), Temirlan Ulanbek uulu (58), Farukh Mamazhanov (88), Artur Sansyzbekov (98), Syymyk Japarov (98) won bronze medals.
Sayak Barakanov and Bekten Erkebai won silver medals on the first day of the championship. Bekbolsun Kerimbekov and Kurmanbek Zamirbek uulu took the third places in combat sambo.
Akak Uson kyzy and Dinara Kamchybekova took the third places in sports sambo.
The national team of the Kyrgyz Republic won one gold, three silver and nine bronze medals.
