Germany lacks qualified personnel: Kyrgyzstanis are offered jobs

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Omurbek Tekebaev met with the district administrator of Hamm district of the Federal State of Bavaria Franz Loeffler and the head of the employment agency of Schwandorf district Siegfried Boimler.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the meeting was held as part of expanding cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Federal State of Bavaria, including issues of employment of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Germany.

Omurbek Tekebaev noted the importance of training qualified personnel on the basis of secondary technical educational institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic according to the German training program and their internship in Germany.

Franz Loeffler noted the lack of qualified personnel in Germany and expressed his readiness to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan. The country is ready to accept the first students from Kyrgyzstan in September 2023. They will study for three years, then they are promised to be employed.

Cooperation is carried out on the basis of a memorandum between the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic and the German Federal Employment Agency.

50 students from Kyrgyzstan will be admitted to the federal district of Saxony for a three-year study.

Bavaria has the highest level of shortage of qualified personnel among the 16 federal districts of the country, which reaches 45.9 percent.
