Kyrgyzstan will host the 2nd Kyrgyz-Hungarian Conference of Rectors this year. Press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.
The decision was made at the first conference of university rectors of the two countries, which was held in Budapest during the visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov to Hungary.
The 1st Kyrgyz-Hungarian Conference of Rectors was attended by 18 heads of universities in Kyrgyzstan and more than 40 representatives of Hungarian universities.
As a result of the conference, the rectors of the universities of Kyrgyzstan and Hungary signed 31 bilateral documents providing for the exchange of students and academic staff, implementation of joint scientific and research projects, popularization of the Hungarian language in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kyrgyz language in Hungary by sending teachers, opening of the Center of the Hungarian Language and Culture , as well as the creation of a faculty for the study of Hungary at one of the universities in Kyrgyzstan, exchange of academic and educational materials.
An agreement on cooperation between the Association of Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Rector’s Conference of Hungary was also signed.
