Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Ibraev made a working trip to Issyk-Kul region. Press service of the ministry reported.
The minister got acquainted with the project for construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 300 megawatts. It is planned to be built in Toru-Aigyr rural area of Issyk-Kul region. Taalaibek Ibraev also checked the possibility of connecting the Issyk-Kul substation, developed jointly with the investor, to the high-voltage power line.
Together with the mayor of Balykchy, he considered the issue of choosing a site for construction of an overhead line of 220 kilovolts to the Issyk-Kul substation in Toru-Aigyr rural area. As a result, the minister instructed the head of the Issyk-Kul Electric Grid Company to give the investor the opportunity to connect to the substation as part of a solar power plant.
The solar power plant is being built by Bishkek Solar Company. It currently solves land issues and receives the documents necessary for the further construction of the facility.
Taalaibek Ibraev also visited the coal base of Kyrgyzkomur state enterprise in Balykchy. There he was told about the volumes of coal supplied to the population and the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant (HPP). The official stressed the importance of uninterrupted transportation of coal to the population and HPPs, despite the fact that there is not much time left before the end of winter, and gave instructions to the relevant specialists.
