Vecherniy Bishkek Publishing House CJSC filed a lawsuit with the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek against Kaktus.media over an article about closure of Vecherniy Bishkek newspaper. They demand 50 million soms. The statement sent to the editorial office says.
The reason was the news about the closure of Vecherniy Bishkek newspaper and the dismissal of employees. The total amount of the claim is 50 million soms.
At least 25 million of them are demanded from journalist Dilya Yusupova, editor-in-chief Natalya Timirbayeva, as well as from its founder Dina Maslova. The remaining 25 million are demanded from the media outlet itself.
The company believes that the article contains incorrect information about the closure of the newspaper and bankruptcy. It also requires publication of a retraction.
