Fifteen foreign companies that sell services in electronic form in Kyrgyzstan are registered as payers of value added tax to the budget of the republic. The Tax Service reported.
Four companies registered in the Netherlands, two companies each in the USA, Great Britain, Russia and one each in Ireland, the United Arab Emirates, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Cyprus have passed remote tax registration in the electronic service of the Tax Service www.vat.salyk.kg.
«To date, the functionality of the service allows a foreign organization providing electronic services to undergo tax registration as a VAT taxpayer, obtain an identification tax number and access to the taxpayer’s personal account,» the ministry said.
The so-called «tax on Google» is imposed on foreign organizations that provide services in electronic form without using a domain name or IP address registered in Kyrgyzstan, the place of supply of which is the territory of the country. The VAT rate is 12 percent on the amount of services sold.
