More than 43 tons of garbage have been lifted from the bottom of Issyk-Kul Lake over the past two years, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reported.
Since 2023, more than 43,000 tons of waste and about 400 kilometers of fishing nets have been removed from the lake.
The ministry recalled that divers from the MES Diving Service Center are carrying out the lake clean-up operations on the instruction of the country’s president.
