SCNS tells about property of director of school No. 61 Yuri Nizovsky

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) initiated a criminal case on the fact of corruption against the director of the Author’s Physics and Mathematics School-Lyceum No. 61 named after B. Yakir Yuri Nizovsky. Press center of the SCNS reported.

A stable corruption scheme organized by Yuri Nizovsky was revealed, which allowed him to illegally receive money from parents of students. In particular, the facts of repeated receipt of funds for the assistance provided to them in enrolling children in the first grade of the school and the preschool educational institution were revealed.

«Thus, Yuri Nizovsky systematically took bribes, and also extorted money from the parents of students. To hide his assets, the principal of the school registered his relatives and trusted people as owners of the potentially illegal property. It was found out that he and his close relatives own more than 35 units of movable and immovable property — land plots, cottages, shops, cars, houses and apartments, the estimated value of which is about 150 million soms,» the SCNS noted.

The state committee stressed that they had searched his office, the apartment at the actual place of residence and the summer house. A large amount of foreign currency was found, as well as title documents for this property. Yuri Nizovsky was placed in the temporary detention center of the SCNS.

The director of school No. 61 Yuri Nizovsky was detained by the SCNS on Tuesday.

According to the presidential decree, principals of 966 schools must be replaced by the beginning of the new academic year, since they have been in office for more than five years. Director of the school No. 61 Yuri Nizovsky refused to participate in the competition, considering this process humiliating.

Earlier, members of the Public Movement of Parents for Protection of Education in the Kyrgyz Republic staged a protest. About 40 people with banners in their hands gathered near the building of the Ministry of Education and Science.
