Four people were detained on suspicion of kidnapping a man in Bishkek. Press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Sverdlovsky district of the capital reported.
A man made a statement to the police. He asked to take measures against unknown persons who, using physical force, put him in a car and took him away.
«A criminal case was initiated under the article «Kidnapping» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Investigators of the Department of Internal Affairs of Sverdlovsky district detained the suspects — 60, 45, 50 and 37-year-old men. The investigation continues,» the department reported.
Own sources informed 24.kg news agency that the victim is a citizen of Azerbaijan. His friend had to return a debt — about $8,000 to their mutual acquaintances.
«The kidnappers forcibly put the man in a car as a hostage. The victim was held for several hours. When his friend arrived, and they let him go,» the sources reported.
