The President of Kyrgyzstan signed a law on amendments to certain legislative acts of the Kyrgyz Republic (Law on road traffic in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Code of Offenses, the Code of Non-Tax Revenues).
The goal is to provide vehicle owners with the opportunity to legally obtain permission to tint the windshields of vehicles on a paid basis, or in other words, to reduce the number of offenses and crimes.
According to the law, driving of a vehicle with tinted windshield and (or) side windows of the front doors, including handicraft, industrial production, or using curtains on them or presence of a mirror tinted coating on the glasses without the permission of the authorized state body for tinting side windows of the front doors of the vehicle entails a fine for individuals in the amount of 200 calculated rates, for legal entities — 400 calculated rates.
The amount of the fee and the procedure for payment will be determined by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.
On March 17, the Parliament adopted the draft law on amendments to certain legislative acts on traffic issues in the third reading.
