The Taliban movement (under UN sanctions for terrorist activities), which rules in Afghanistan, has decided that men and women in Kabul should visit the amusement parks separately. Statement of the Ministry of Prohibition says, RIA Novosti reports.
Women are allowed to visit the parks on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. A hijab is a prerequisite.
«Men are not allowed to go there on those days,» the statement says. They can come to the park on the other days of the week. From Wednesday through Saturday, males are also allowed to walk around without military insignia or weapons.
If the new rules are violated, park owners and administrators will be held accountable.
In tourist areas in Kabul, which are visited by families, women are also required to wear the hijab and are also instructed to refrain from interacting with strangers.
On August 15, the Taliban announced full control of the entire territory of Afghanistan. Diplomatic missions accredited in the country organized evacuation of their citizens.
