Cabinet approves resolution on settlement of disputes with Centerra Gold

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan adopted Resolution No. 157 dated March 25, 2022 on measures to resolve mutual claims between the Kyrgyz side and the Canadian Centerra Gold company. Official website of the government says.

The document was adopted in accordance with the resolution of the Parliament on approval of the conditions and format for settlement of mutual claims between the Kyrgyz side and the Canadian Centerra Gold company. This resolution was approved on March 4, 2022.

The resolution approved a draft agreement with Centerra Gold. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov is authorized to sign the draft agreement on the global settlement of mutual claims between Kyrgyzstan and the Canadian Centerra Gold company with the right to make nonessential changes and additions.

State bodies of Kyrgyzstan were instructed to take measures to implement the agreement.

The decree comes into force from the day of its official publication.

At the same time, the agreement itself has not been published, so it is not clear what specific conditions the parties agreed on.
