Mansion of the former judge of the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan Kamil Osmonaliev in one of the capital’s VIP townships was handed over to Manas National Theater. The Ministry of Culture reported.
Manas theater was established in September 2021 in order to preserve, promote and popularize the Manas epic, as well as small epics and the work of storytellers (manaschi, dastanchi). By presidential decree on February 17, 2022, the institution was granted the status of a national one.
Manaschi Aziz Biymyrza uulu was appointed the head of the theater.
In December 2020, the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) established the facts of illegal enrichment by the judge of the Judicial Board for Civil and Economic Cases of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic Kamil Osmonaliev. He was taken into custody.
In March 2021, by decision of the Pervomaisky District Court, he was released from custody on condition not to leave the city. The SCNS reported that the judge Kamil Osmonaliev fully admitted his guilt and compensated 70 million soms to the state. He undertook to pay the remaining 44 million within three months.
