Kyrgyzstan and Turkey sign memorandum on renewable energy cooperation

Kyrgyzstan has signed a bilateral memorandum with the Turkish Association of Energy Industrialists and Businessmen on the development of renewable energy sources. The Agency for Promotion of Investments reported.

The acting head of the agency Nuradil Bayasov is on a working visit to Izmir (Turkey). As a result of agreements, representatives of the Association of Energy Industrialists and Businessmen (ENSİA) will visit Kyrgyzstan to assess the potential and possible construction of solar and wind power plants in the republic.

«The visit is scheduled for April 2021. ENSIA will provide various consulting services on the development of Kyrgyzstan’s green energy sector. In addition, bilateral meetings were held with representatives of the Izmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry to inform them about investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan,» the statement said.
