Youth Human Rights Bureau was established under the Office of the Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan. Its press service reported.
According to it, the tasks of the bureau, whose young activists on a volunteer basis promote and protect the rights and interests of young people are:
- Activation of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in the sphere of protection and promotion of their rights and interests at the local and national levels;
- Increasing the level of legal literacy among young citizens of Kyrgyzstan;
- Active involvement of young activists in addressing acute social problems in Kyrgyzstan;
- Involvement of young activists in monitoring the observance of human rights and freedoms;
- Capacity development through education, trainings, workshops, and etc.
It is planned that the members of the bureau will contribute to the activities of the Office of the Ombudsman in the protection of human rights and freedoms in the country.
