A 36-year-old man suspected of distribution of extremist materials was detained in Bishkek. Press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek reports.
During a search, the following items were seized from him: a cell phone with the help of which the suspect was distributing extremist materials on social media; religious publications of Hizb ut-Tahrir that are prohibited in the country, such as Al-Wai magazine, the book «Hizb ut-Tahrir Tushunuktoru» and A4 size brochures that contain appeals of Hizb ut-Tahrir religious extremist organization.
The detainee was taken to the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek. Comprehensive forensic and religious expert examinations were scheduled on the seized material evidence.
The appropriate investigative and operational measures continue.
