Customs officers colluded with the carriers and inflicted a damage of 170 million soms to the budget of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
«In 2019, customs officials in collusion with citizens engaged in the transportation of vehicles, carried out customs clearance of passenger buses brought from third countries to the Kyrgyz Republic at a lowered rate. As a result of their actions, the budget of the country suffered material damage of over 170 million soms,» the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
The Prosecutor General’s Office initiated a criminal case on corruption, which is being investigated by the Investigation Department.
