Eurasian Development Bank expects GDP growth in Kazakhstan to be about 4 percent by the end of the year. The bank’s team of economists reported.
The bank analysts say that the slowdown of economic activity in January 2022 will be leveled out as soon as possible. Obviously, the key task in the next month will be to return the economy to a sustainable growth path.
«Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) works with all its clients and partners in Kazakhstan as usual. The EDB’s operational activities are carried out in full. The bank has not received notifications from Kazakh borrowers regarding possible delays in servicing their obligations,» press service of the EDB said.
Mass protests in Kazakhstan began on January 2, 2022. Residents of Zhanaozen and Aktau in Mangistau region opposed the increase in prices for liquefied gas, then the protests spread to other regions.
