Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov will participate in an online extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council instead of the President Sadyr Japarov, who unexpectedly took a short-term vacation.
Participates of the session will reportedly discuss the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and measures to normalize it.
Mass protests in Kazakhstan began on January 2,2022. Residents of Zhanaozen and Aktau in Mangistau region opposed the increase in prices for liquefied gas, then the protests spread to other cities.
