Omicron coronavirus strain has been registered in Uzbekistan. Media report with reference to the Ministry of Health of the republic.
According to them, quarantine measures have been stepped up in the country. From January 15, all people arriving in Uzbekistan from abroad must have a certificate of a PCR test with a negative result, conducted at least 48 hours before arrival.
In the absence of a certificate of a negative PCR test, arrivals must pass an express test for coronavirus at the airport, train station or border checkpoint.
The Omicron was also found in the neighboring Kazakhstan. The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan is preparing for worsening of the situation. At least 400 reserve beds will be prepared in health care organizations of the capital in case of an increase in the incidence.
