The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan informs that on the initiative of the Kazakh side in connection with the malfunction of the unified information system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ken-Bulun-Avtodorozhny and Tokmok-Avtodorozhny checkpoints, located on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border in Chui region, temporarily suspend passage of citizens and vehicles from January 7.
The remaining checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border — Ak-Zhol-Avtodorozhny, Ak-Tilek- Avtodorozhny, Chaldybar-Avtodorozhny in Chui region, Chon-Kapka-Avtodorozhny in Talas region and Karkyra-Avtodorozhny in Issyk-Kul region continue to operate as usual, taking into account the existing restrictions associated with COVID-19. It is specified that no crowds of people and accumulation of vehicles have been registered on the border with Kazakhstan. The situation is characterized as stable.
