Chinese people living in Kyrgyzstan have donated food to needy families and orphanages. Wang Chuang, a citizen of the People’s Republic of China, told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, on the New Year’s Eve, Chinese entrepreneurs living and working in Kyrgyzstan collected 1,700 million soms. They bought food products and donated to needy Kyrgyzstanis.
So, 225 needy families in Bishkek, Jalal-Abad and Osh received 10 kilograms of flour and 5 kilograms of sugar, vegetable oil, rice, noodles and a package of sweets before the New Year.
In addition, the Boorukerdik orphanage in Osh city and Santerra Foundation for parents of children with Down syndrome received 8 tons of flour and 2 tons of vegetable oil, two tons of sugar, 1.5 tons of rice, mutton and other essentials.
«China and Kyrgyzstan are good friends and neighbors, and everyone should help and support each other. Kyrgyzstan is our second homeland. We hope that the country’s development will continue,» Wang Chuang concluded.
