Ankara hosts events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the film director Bolot Shamshiev. Kyrgyzcinema.com website reports.
According to it, the films «The Red Poppies of Issyk-Kul», presented by the People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Aiturgan Temirova, and «Early Cranes» have already been screened, and the audience will watch «The White Steamer» on December 22.
A photo exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the film director was also opened.
The guests also saw a documentary by Murat Mambetov «My films — my children» (Kyrgyzfilm named after Tolomush Okeyev, 2021).
Bolot Shamshiev is a Soviet and Kyrgyz film actor, film director, screenwriter. People remember and love his films «The White Steamer», «Shot at Karash Pass», «Wolf’s Pit», «Climbing Mount Fujiyama».
