Phytosanitary certificates of Kyrgyzstan are not recognized when passing control at the borders of Russia and Kazakhstan, therefore, entrepreneurs have to re-conduct laboratory tests. The Executive Director of the Association for Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex Rustam Baltabaev said at a breakfast meeting with the head of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
As the press service of the association notes, the problem of setting additional requirements for the carriage of goods was also voiced. Thus, Kyrgyz carriers are obliged to leave a space in trucks for the passage of representatives of regulatory authorities. Less goods can be loaded because of this, therefore, the logistics costs increase.
«An important issue is the introduction of new codes of the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity (CNFEA) for goods that were not previously available on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. Rustam Baltabaev cited cricket flour as an example. Businessmen have already asked to establish a CNFEA code for it,» the statement says.
