District Court of Solna (Sweden) delivered a judgement for two natives of Uzbekistan David Idrisson and Bakhtier Umarov and a Kyrgyzstani Atabek Abdullaev, suspected of preparation of a terrorist attack.
The court found Atabek Abdullaev innocent in preparation of the terrorist attack and financing of terrorism. David Idrisson was sentenced to 7 years in prison, and Bakhtier Umarov — to six months.
The judges noted that the prosecutor’s office had provided insufficient evidence regarding involvement of Atabek Abdullaev in a terrorist group.
Swedish media reported earlier that from April to October 2018 police detained five people within the case — natives of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. At least one of them contacted Rakhmat Akilov, who was sentenced to life in prison in Sweden for the terrorist attack in the center of Stockholm in 2017.
