Kyrgyzstan accounts for main part of foreign investment in Russia's real estate

Investors from Kyrgyzstan account for the largest share in the total foreign investment in real estate in Russia. RIA Novosti reported with reference to the press service of the consulting company Knight Frank.

It is noted that investments in real estate in Russia in 2018 amounted to 248.1 billion rubles compared to 249.6 billion rubles a year earlier. Compared to 2017, investors’ demand has shifted from the retail to the office segment.

According to the company, offices accounted for 47 percent of the total investment, retail real estate — 30 percent.

Kyrgyzstan accounted for the largest share of foreign investment thanks to the deal on the purchase of Riviera shopping center by KLS Eurasia Venture Fund. In addition, there were investors from the Czech Republic, France, Great Britain, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Finland and the USA.
