Border guards of Kazakhstan detained a Kyrgyz policeman with drugs. Own sources informed 24.kg news agency.
The police officer was detained in the territory of the neighboring country after crossing the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border.
«It is known that hashish was confiscated from the man. The detainee was handed over to the staff of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan,» the sources said.
This is not the first case of detention of employees of the law enforcement agencies with drugs at the border. In 2017, border guards of Kazakhstan arrested a lieutenant colonel of the ground forces of Kyrgyzstan at Ak-Zhol checkpoint while crossing the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border. He was found guilty and sentenced to six months in prison.
