Sooronbai Jeenbekov expresses condolences over death of miners in Russia

The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov expressed condolences to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in connection with the tragic death of miners in a fire at a mine in Solikamsk. Press service of the head of Kyrgyzstan reported.

«I am deeply shocked by the news of the tragic death of miners as a result of a fire in the mine in Solikamsk. On behalf of the people of Kyrgyzstan and myself, I express sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims. I share the bitterness of irreparable loss,» the telegram of the head of state says.

A fire occurred at a depth of 364 meters at Uralkali mine in Solikamsk on December 22. In total, there were 17 people at the facility at the time of the emergency, eight of whom came to the surface, the rest were blocked underground. On December 23, rescuers found the bodies of nine workers.
