Kylychbek Sultan named the best diplomat of 2018

The Muslim Committee for Human Rights in Central Asia awarded the title of the Best Diplomat of 2018 to the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to South Korea Kylychbek Sultan. Timeskz reported.

One of the reasons that prompted human rights defenders to assign him such a high rank was an incident with the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan Zuurakan Kadenova. Caught in unethical behavior in South Korea, she was dismissed.

The ambassador took a principled position in this story. Contrary to the pressure of government officials, he did not hide this fact. Having arranged a press conference in Seoul, the diplomat gave an objective assessment of the behavior of the deputy minister.

The head of the Muslim Committee for Human Rights in Central Asia, Murat Telibekov, praised the diplomat’s deed as a symbol of a renewed Kyrgyzstan that chose the path of freedom and democracy.

«The bold move of the Kyrgyz ambassador breaks an established stereotype that represents a diplomat as a cowardly, faceless and unprincipled creature. Exactly such persons form the country’s image in the eyes of the world community today,» said Murat Telibekov.

This organization awards the distinguished cultural figures, politicians, diplomacy annually.
