A citizen of Kyrgyzstan became the champion of Kazakhstan in modern pentathlon. The head coach of the national team of the Kyrgyz Republic Viktor Maltsev informed 24.kg news agency.
The open tournament took place in Kapchagay. About 30 sportsmen from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Thailand took part in it. «We took five athletes at our expense,» said Victor Maltsev. «Temirlan Aitimbetov scored 1,389 points and took the first place. He performed especially great in fencing, winning 25 fights out of 28.»
«This championship was an important stage of preparation for the Asian Games, which will begin in a month in Indonesia,» Viktor Maltsev told.
