Officials simplified the procedure for issue of work permits to foreign citizens and stateless persons on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the government’s executive office, the terms of consideration of documents were reduced from 30 to 14 days. The list of necessary documents for issue of the permits was reduced from five to two.
Validity of a work permit for highly qualified foreign specialists is up to three years.
The measure was adopted to attract additional investments, intellectual resources, create conditions for business development and reduce corruption risks when issuing the necessary documents for work to foreign citizens, the government said.
The issue was resolved only after it became known that officials had delayed issue of quotas for foreigners for 2018. Now they have to pay large fines.
