About 270 Kyrgyz citizens since early 2018 have applied for suyunchu (state allowance) for the birth of a child. Press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development informed 24.kg news agency.

The information is constantly updated. In general, 59 city and regional offices operate in the country, about ten of them have not yet provided data.

Payment of the allowances will start after February 15. Currently, a mechanism for payments is being developed jointly with the State Registration Service.

The law on the payment of suyunchy entered into force on January 1, 2018.

Kyrgyz citizens will be able to get a suyunchu within a year after the birth of a child. Allowance for each child is 4,000 soms, in high-mountainous areas — almost twice as much.

To receive money, Kyrgyzstanis must submit a birth certificate for the child, identity document of the parents (passport) or a guardianship certificate and a certificate from the place of residence to the regional department for social development.
