The state allowance for children from low-income families is 875 soms in Kyrgyzstan. The Minister of Labor and Social Development Ulukbek Kochkorov told journalists at a press conference.
According to the National Statistical Committee, as a result of the first nine months of 2018, the subsistence minimum in Kyrgyzstan was set at 4,655 soms. At the same time, the subsistence minimum of a child is 3,955 soms.
The size of the allowance for children from low-income families is 4.75 times less than the subsistence minimum of a child.

It turns out that 1,037.5 soms are needed for each family member, including a child, for a week. For four weeks, these expenses will amount to 4,600 soms, which is 5.3 times more than the allowance for children from low-income families.
