Only a half of applicants get suyunchu for birth of a child

Only about a half of the applicants received suyunchu (allowance) for the birth of a child. Such data was presented today at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social issues.

According to representatives of the Cabinet, at least 13,400 applications have been registered since the beginning of the year. At the same time, only 7,600 people received money.

«Do not you think that this is not enough? How many babies are born in the country every month?» Aida Kasymalieva asked.

«This is a pilot project, people turn to the State Registration System,» said the Minister of Labor and Social Development Taalaykul Isakunova.

Earlier it was reported that citizens could leave an application in information kiosks, in the registry offices and in the population service centers, located in the republic. Applications through the system of electronic interaction of the State Registration service will come to the city, town and district social development departments.

To apply, citizens must submit: a birth certificate of the child, parents’ passports, and a certificate from the place of residence.

The government’s report for 2017 is discussed at the meeting.
