Sooronbai Jeenbekov meets with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev today, August 14, on the eve of the next meeting of the Eurasian intergovernmental council, received its participants — heads of government of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The meeting was held in the city of Astana. Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that the Eurasian Economic Union has been working for the third year already. This period was difficult in the world economy, which had an impact on the economy of the EEU member countries.

«The main factor of the development of the EEU is the creation of a common market, a single economic structure. The growth of the economy in the countries of the integration association will directly be reflected in the increase in the volume of mutual trade. Now we face the task of strengthening relations between our countries. The main role in this work is assigned to the governments of the member countries of the Union. I hope that today’s meeting of the Eurasian intergovernmental council will be constructive and make a significant contribution to the further development of the organization,» Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed.

Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan took part in the meeting.
