CEC receives application from presidential candidate Temir Sariev

The CEC received application from presidential candidate Temir Sariev, the Central Election Commission informed 24.kg news agency.

Recall, the ex-prime minister of Kyrgyzstan is a candidate for the post of head of state from Akshumkar party. Yesterday, Bishkek hosted the seventh congress of the political organization, where the delegates unanimously supported their leader.

Temir Sariev, like all applicants, must now hand over to the CEC documents, including signature sheets (30,000 signatures of voters) and  an electoral deposit of one million soms.

The country’s presidential elections will be held on October 15.

Earlier, the leader of League-Anticrisis, Nazarbek Nyshanov and the head of Ata Meken party, Omurbek Tekebayev, presented similar applications.

The official nomination began on June 15 and will end on August 15.
