Kyrgyzstan wants to see CSTO defense complex enterprises in country

Kyrgyzstan wants to see the defense complex enterprises in the country, created jointly with the CSTO countries. Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhenish Razakov stated today at a meeting of the Interstate Commission for Military-Economic Cooperation of the organization.

According to him, Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening it, and is also interested in its transformation into a multifunctional regional structure capable of ensuring the comprehensive security of the CSTO countries.

The Vice Prime Minister stressed that the military-technical and military-economic cooperation with the CSTO is of paramount importance for the republic. At the same time, to strengthen the defense capacity and maintain stability in the region, special attention should be paid to cooperation in the military-political and military-technical spheres.

»Kyrgyzstan is interested in establishing cooperation between enterprises and organizations of the military-industrial complex. We are in favor of creating joint ventures in Kyrgyzstan for the production of military products. This will revive the work of a number of enterprises of the republic, increase the output of industrial products, exports and employment of the population," Zhenish Razakov said.

He reminded that today the number of crimes committed with the use of modern information technologies, causing enormous damage to national and collective security is growing in the world.
