14 small HPPs to be built in Kyrgyzstan

The State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic announced a tender for the right to build small hydro power plants.

Legal entities of Kyrgyzstan, as well as foreign legal entities can participate in the tender. In case a foreign legal entity is chosen the winner of a tender (prior to the conclusion of an agreement on the right to build a small HPP), the winner must form a subsidiary commercial organization registered in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

When implementing projects, the winners should give preference to Kyrgyz specialists, as well as to fully purchase goods and materials, agricultural products, works and services in the republic. The exception is goods that are not produced in Kyrgyzstan or are more expensive than in other countries.
