Boeing 747 crash. Government agrees on payment of compensation

The government of Kyrgyzstan resolves technical issues to pay compensation to victims of the crash of Turkish aircraft on January 16 near Manas Airport.

According to the Information Support Department of the government’s executive office, talks with the Turkish side on compensation to the relatives of the victims and the victims are at the stage of completion. The last meeting of the government commission with the company that owned the crashed aircraft and insurance organizations was held on April 5.

The positions of two sides regarding compensation to the relatives of the deceased, compensation to citizens, who received body injuries, and reimbursement of material damage to the state caused by the plane crash, had been agreed.

The victims were timely notified about the results of the negotiations. The last meeting with them took place on April 6. Up to date, the Turkish airline has transferred to the special account of the Ministry of Emergency Situations $ 600,000. The transferred amount is part of the compensation requested by the government commission to compensate for material damage estimated at 195 million soms.
