Smuggling of expensive cell phones stopped in Talas

Security services together with the Border Service officers stopped the illegal import of expensive cell phones in Talas region. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.

«An attempt to illegally import a large batch of expensive iPhone 16 and Samsung S25 cell phones into Kyrgyzstan, the approximate cost of which is more than $700,000, was stopped. Investigative and operational measures are being carried out on the fact, aimed at establishing the amount of damage in the form of non-payment of mandatory taxes and other deductions, as well as the persons involved in this fact,» the statement says.
