On April 14, a memorandum on the mutual recognition and exchange of driver’s licenses between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE was signed in Abu Dhabi. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The memorandum aims to facilitate the movement of citizens by recognizing driver’s licenses issued by the competent authorities of both countries. The official effective date of the memorandum will be announced within a month, following coordination between the parties through diplomatic channels.

The document was signed by U. Karypbekov, Director of the State Agency for the Registration of Transport and Drivers under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed key issues on the bilateral agenda, including the creation of favorable conditions for the stay of citizens in the territory of the two states.
