Almost 62,000 mortgage apartments under construction in Kyrgyzstan

Nearly 62,000 mortgage apartments are currently under construction in Kyrgyzstan. Tilek Dzheembaev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of State Mortgage Company JSC, said on the air of Birinchi Radio.

According to him, construction of the first buildings was started in Bishkek, and citizens have already started receiving apartments in the capital. Half of the apartments are being built through shared equity construction, while the other half fall under preferential, affordable, or social mortgage programs. By the end of 2027–2028, approximately 17,000 apartments are expected to be completed in Bishkek.

Construction is also underway in regional and district centers — in Kochkor village, in Naryn and Cholpon-Ata cities, as well as in Suzak, Uzgen, Kara-Suu, and other districts.

Dzheembaev noted that the number of applicants in the queue has reached 50,000 families.

«Based on a 50 percent quota for shared equity construction, to provide housing for 50,000 families, we need to build 100,000 apartments. That way, our program would fully meet the current demand. Without shared equity construction, we could only reach around 25,000–28,000 apartments with the available funds,» he explained.

He added that an electronic queue system is set up for each region, recording the time and date of each application. Citizens can go to the website based on their mortgage category (social, preferential, or affordable), select their region, and find their name in the general list. With every new commissioning, citizens can see how many people have already received housing and how many are still waiting. The entire system is transparent, the official assured.
