Akylbek Japarov meets with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on an official visit. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation and the possibility of implementation of joint projects in various areas, including investment, energy, infrastructure and tourism.

The Chairman of the Cabinet emphasized the importance of the talks held the day before between Sadyr Japarov and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, during which important bilateral documents were signed, including a joint declaration on an expanded strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.

Akylbek Japarov also emphasized the importance of cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), noting that its 11th summit will soon start in Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan will take over the chairmanship.

He expressed gratitude to Viktor Orban for his participation in the upcoming summit.

The head of the Cabinet stressed the importance of implementation of the agreements reached during his meeting with Viktor Orban in Budapest.

In turn, Viktor Orban noted the similarity of views of Kyrgyzstan and Hungary on many issues, including strengthening comprehensive ties, as well as development of trade, economic and investment cooperation.

He emphasized that Hungary supports Kyrgyzstan in its development aspirations and is ready to find common ground in priority areas of cooperation for the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.

The parties expressed confidence in the further development of friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.

In addition, they exchanged views on the development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union, taking into account the current presidency of Hungary of the Council of the European Union.
