The retail trade turnover in the CIS countries in January-August 2024 increased by 8 percent on average, compared to the same period last year. The Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth provided such data.
The highest percent was recorded in Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
According to the CIS Statistical Committee, growth was registered in:
- Azerbaijan — 3.5 percent;
- Armenia — 5.2 percent;
- Belarus — 12 percent;
- Kazakhstan — 6.8 percent;
- Kyrgyzstan — 12.3 percent;
- Russia — 8 percent;
- Tajikistan — 11.5 percent;
- Uzbekistan — 9.1 percent.
The CIS Statistical Committee specifies that the data are provided without taking into account the figures for Moldova, Turkmenistan and Ukraine.
